Tommy Hilfiger and ’47 Team on NBA Basketball Caps Collection

Tommy Hilfiger is continuing his presence in the sports world with a new collaboration.

The American fashion designer is joining forces with sports lifestyle brand ’47 for a capsule collection of basketball caps this month celebrating NBA teams like the Boston Celtics, the Chicago Bulls, the New York Knicks, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat.

“Basketball is more than a game — it’s a cultural force that unites communities and inspires dreams,” Hilfiger said. “This collection celebrates the spirit of the sport, celebrating the grit and determination of the players, from street courts to stadiums. It’s a tribute to our deep connection with athletics, delivering timeless style for every step of the way.”

Hilfiger looked to his childhood love of school uniforms as inspiration for the collection and merged it with a ‘90s nostalgic vibe. The collection evokes Hilfiger’s classic Americana style with colorblocking, varsity-inspired details and his signature red, white and blue color palette. The hats are ‘47’s signature six-panel Clean Up silhouette designed with a soft cotton twill and embellished with leather team logos.

To celebrate the collection, Hilfiger tapped a group of everyday NBA fans from New York City’s West 4th Street Courts to star in the campaign. The brand also celebrated the collection during the Knicks vs. the Lakers basketball game on Saturday night, where several athletes and notable figures sported the ’47 collaboration.

This is the latest collaboration to come from Tommy Hilfiger. Recently, the brand has produced collaborations with the Mercedes-AMG Formula 1 team and the U.S. SailGP team, among others.
