Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin went out on Thursday for a date night in New York City. They looked very in love, despite reports that the couple’s divorce proceedings had been dismissed.
After rekindling their relationship, the “Rocky” actor and former model seemed to be in good spirits. They smiled and held hands.
The couple was seen leaving The Polo Lounge in New York City on Thursday, looking happier than ever. This was just a few weeks after it had been announced that the couple had decided to reconcile.
Last week, a Florida judge issued an order temporarily suspending divorce proceedings. This gives the couple enough time to come up with their terms.
According to Page Six, Friday was the official filing of the notice of voluntary dismissal. According to another insider, the couple is “very happy and together.”
Sherene De Palma (partner in Hannon De Palma’s New York-based firm) announced that they had reconciled two weeks ago. Sherene said that their decision to end the divorce could be based on a variety of factors.
De Palma stated that people change their minds about divorce for many reasons. “I have witnessed many reasons that high-net-worth individuals and public figures change their minds about getting divorced over the past 20 years. They want to preserve the couple’s image, and not look bad to colleagues, family, and friends.
Their temporary divorce order signed two weeks ago said, in part: “The Parties agree it is in their best interests individually and collectively as families to resolve all issues related to the dissolution in a dignified and amicable manner outside-of-court… Each party is satisfied that all immediate matters have been resolved to their mutual satisfaction in a separately executed stipulation.”
People magazine reported that Flavin and Stallone are both family-oriented, which played a part in their coming together to find a way to make it work. Another source said that although the couple still has some issues to resolve, it would not have been difficult to share the assets they had accumulated over their 25-year marriage.
Flavin filed for divorce in August 2022. She accuses Stallone of “intentional destruction, depletion, and loss of marital assets that have had an adverse economic effect on the marital estate.” This means she believes he mishandled their finances.
Stallone, who confirmed the split when news broke of the divorce, said, “I love family.” These personal issues are being addressed privately and amicably by us.
Although Flavin was not spotted following the filing, reconciliation rumors started swirling after Stallone posted a throwback picture of himself with his three daughters. He also included a photo of Flavin walking hand in hand. The caption he added to the photo was a simple white heart emoticon.
