Michigan State defensive back DJ Kennard has reportedly entered the transfer portal

The transfer portal is officially open, and we have an entry from a Spartans defensive back.

Michigan State defensive back DJ Kennard has reportedly entered the transfer portal, according to Ryan O’Bleness of Rivals. Kennard is a redshirt freshman and joined the Spartans as a preferred walk-on in January of last year.

The spring transfer portal window opened on Wednesday. It’ll be interesting to see over the next few days how many Spartans enter the portal in an attempt to find a new home.

Kennard never played for the Spartans during his short career in East Lansing, Mich.

Kennard is originally from Falls Church, Va. He played his final year of high school ball at Palmetto Prep in Columbia, South Carolina as a postgraduate year in 2023.
