Los Angeles brands are finding ways to assist in the wildfire relief efforts, in the wake of the devastation caused by ongoing fires across the county.
As of Sunday, Dec. 12, the Palisades fire and the Eaton fire have burned more than 37,000 acres and 10,000 structures, and claimed at least 16 lives. The Palisades fire is currently 11 percent contained, while the Eaton fire is 15 percent contained.
While some brands are providing resources directly to those affected by the fires, others are focusing on fundraising for the victims. L.A. brands like Clare V. and The Hundreds, among others, have released special t-shirts that directly benefit those who’ve been affected by the fires. Here’s a look at the t-shirts L.A. brands are making with profits going towards the victims of the wildfires.

Clare V.
In addition to releasing a hat, Clare V. has released two t-shirts that benefit wildfire relief. Introduced as “a tee made to show our support and love for our hometown and its people,” the Los Angeles-inspired merch is printed with “‘Los Angeles, Je t’aime” (“Los Angeles, I Love You”). It comes in two fits: the roomier original tee or the slimmer-fit and shorter-sleeve classic tee, both of which retail for $100. One-hundred percent of the profits from the sales of the tees (and hat) will go towards the American Red Cross, which is providing safe shelter, food, essentials, and support for those affected by the fires. “I think the T-shirt and hat will sell well because people all over the country will buy that. It’s amazing how much people love Los Angeles, but we never have to think about it except in a time like this,” Clare Vivier, founder of the brand, told WWD in a statement.

The Hundreds
The Hundreds has also released an ode to L.A. with the proceeds going towards the victims of the Los Angeles fires. The brand is selling a “Love LA” t-shirt made from 100 percent cotton, created in partnership with the global and L.A.-based humanitarian organization CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort). “Traditional funding models can be too rigid and prescriptive, often leaving critical gaps in assistance, particularly for those who too often fall through the cracks,” read a statement posted to the brand’s Instagram. “The Hundreds and CORE’s approach not only meets the immediate needs of affected families but also lays the foundation for rebuilding in a sustainable, dignified, and self-determined way. Funding will go to ensure families receive both immediate and long-term support through cash programs, emergency materials, to comprehensive case management to navigate the aid process as they work to rebuild — helping families, individuals and informal and formal businesses to get back on their feet.”

Fanatics
Los Angeles’ sports teams are banding together to raise money for the American Red Cross and LA Fire Department Foundation with “L.A. Strong” merch. The offerings, from the Dodgers to the Lakers, LAFC, Angel City, the Rams, and more, are being sold by Fanatics in collaboration with League partners. “Our hearts are with everyone in Los Angeles. And we’re looking to do whatever we can to help,” read a statement about the collection posted to Instagram. “So we’ve teamed up with the our league partners and the LA sporting world to support those impacted by the tragic wildfires. Fanatics, Leagues, and the participating sports organizations will not profit from the sale of the LA Strong merchandise and will make a donation directly to the American Red Cross and the LA Fire Department Foundation.” The American Red Cross provides assistance to those affected by these fires and the LA Fire Department Foundation provides much needed support and equipment to first responders.”
