Kendra Scott Teams Up With Disney for Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse Jewelry Designs


Kendra Scott, the Austin-based lifestyle and accessories brand, is teaming up with Disney to feature pieces that combine Disney characters Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse with Kendra Scott’s designs.

The 10-piece collection, which ranges from $65 to $150, will feature such styles as the Mickey Mouse pendant, Mickey Mouse stud earrings, Minnie Mouse drop earrings and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse tennis bracelet.

“Like so many others, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse were a huge part of my childhood,” said Kendra Scott, executive chairwoman and chief creative officer. “They introduced me to a world that included the feeling of everyday magic and possibility, and I’m overjoyed to collaborate with Disney to help you experience that magic and joy all over again.”

According to Tom Nolan, chief executive officer of Kendra Scott, the jewelry collection is geared to a multigenerational audience across price points. He said this is their first collaboration with Disney, and when the opportunity arose, they felt it was a good fit for both brands

“Disney is one of the most iconic brands with an incredible fan base, who are passionate about the experience. We see similarities within our fan bases. Disney is renowned for bringing magic into everyday life, and at Kendra Scott, our mission is to bring joy through our retail experience and product offerings. This collaboration brings together two brands dedicated to celebrating craftsmanship and creativity, always with the customer in mind,” said Nolan.

He said what’s even more exciting is the chance to introduce the Kendra Scott experience “to a broader audience that may not yet know our brand.”

While Nolan declined to give a volume projection, he said that their pre-launch social content has seen a 400 percent increase in engagement. In addition, their Insider sign-up rate three times the daily average “is a strong indicator of Disney demand.”

The Kendra Scott/Disney collaboration is a multicollection partnership.

Nolan predicts that the Mickey Mouse pendant and Mickey Mouse stud earrings will be among the bestsellers.

As a philanthropy-first brand, Kendra Scott is committed to supporting children’s literacy, being a core focus of the brand’s philanthropic efforts. The brand will donate 20 percent of proceeds from the Disney/Kendra Scott Mickey Mouse corded bracelet to First Book, a nonprofit social enterprise dedicated to eliminating barriers to an equitable education for children in underserved communities.

The collection is available starting Thursday in all Kendra Scott stores and online at KendraScott.com and the Kendra Scott store at Disney Springs, a shopping and dining destination at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla. To celebrate the launch, select Kendra Scott stores will host special events featuring exclusive previews and interactive experiences inspired by the Disney collaboration.

On Thursday, a Disney/Kendra Scott Ice Cream truck will make its way through New York City serving an exclusive glitter swirl ice cream with a stop at Kendra Scott’s SoHo store followed by Bryant Park. For L.A.’s Century City, they will offer free glittery cotton candy to Century City customers outside the store from noon to 2 p.m. PST, and serving drinks and sweets in-store all day. Disney Springs will offer a mimosa cart from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST, in addition to sweets from Amorette’s Patisserie, another Disney Springs brand.
