Nicky Hilton had more than one reason to celebrate on Saturday night.
“I can’t think of a better birthday,” she said of celebrating her 41st at the Bel Air home of her parents, Kathy and Rick Hilton. “To walk into my party seeing all of my friends, women I admire wearing the collection, looking so beautiful, seeing how everyone styles it so differently, it’s a dream come true.”
The event was also held to toast her collaboration with Australian designer Rebecca Vallance in partnership with Mytheresa on a holiday collection full of short, festive dresses. Hilton had her crew of friends and family friends — Kris Jenner, Kelly Osbourne, Bijou Phillips, Jamie King, Jessica Hart, Rachel Zoe, Jessie J, Stacey Bendet, Maria Bakalova, Amanda Hearst, Sutton Stracke, Tina Chen Craig, Dylan Mulvaney — dressed in the 31-piece line, as well as sister Paris Hilton and mom Kathy (who donned Anna Zuckerman jewelry from an upcoming release).
A year in the making, the range includes Vallance’s much-loved Leyla minidress adorned with bows that’s been reimagined in ice blue, the bestseller so far.
“I have been wearing Rebecca’s designs for many years, me, my mom, my sister,” said Hilton of how the two connected. “I was pregnant, and I was trying to track down a dress of hers for an event, so I slid into her DMs.”
“In the modern age, that’s what people do,” Vallance chimed in. “Nicky’s always been such a muse of ours.”
The women became fast friends, and collaborating was a breeze, they echoed.
“We have the same aesthetic,” said Vallance. “We like the same things.”
