Gap and Paddington Team Up for Toddler and Baby Limited-edition Capsule


Gap is teaming up with Paddington in support of the latest film release, “Paddington in Peru,” which premieres in the U.S. on Jan. 15. The limited-edition capsule collection includes playful everyday essentials for toddlers and baby. The 19-piece curated collection is brought to life with whimsical graphics and intricate embroidering of iconic London landmarks.

Rooted in red, white and blue, the line offers a range of graphic Ts, sweatshirts, onesies and outerwear. Paddington is featured alongside the Gap logo on the matching sweat set, while a collegiate-inspired varsity jacket is emblazoned with patches. A blue cotton shirt, for example, has detailed embroidery and Paddington’s signature duffle coat is reimagined in denim.

Other items include a sweater dress, footless sweater one-piece, graphic T shirts, Baby Paddington crew socks and a Baby Gap chambray dress.

The capsule is available in toddler and baby sizing from 0-3 months to 5 years. The collection retails from $12.95 to $88 and is available on Gap.com and in select Gap stores.

“Paddington in Peru” is a live-action animated adventure comedy directed by Dougal Wilson and written by Mark Burton, Jon Foster and James Lamout from a story by Paul King, Simon Franaby and Burton. It is the third installment in the “Paddington” film series. The film stars Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington, with Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Olivia Colman, Antonio Banderas and Carla Tous in supporting roles.

The film had its world premiere in London on Nov. 3, and was theatrically released in the United Kingdom on Nov. 8.
