Farm Rio, Adidas Unveil Latest Capsule for Partnership’s 10-Year Anniversary


Farm Rio and Adidas will unveil their latest collaborative capsule collection that recognizes the 10-year anniversary of their partnership.

The collection, which consists of 24 products in the U.S., merges a tropical Brazilian vibe with Adidas‘ iconic three stripes, showcasing a variety of looks that reflect the essence of both brands. One of the highlights is the return of Adidas Originals, which was part of the first collaborative launch in 2014 and is now back with 20 pieces, including the classic Firebird jacket reinvented with new prints.

In addition to such clothing as jackets, tracksuits, T-shirts, pants, skirts and dresses, the collection features various accessories such as the backpack, cap and an “altinha” ball. There is also a complementary capsule of classic Farm Rio silhouettes that will launch alongside the collaboration. Sizes range from XS to XL. Prices go from $35 to $130.

A campaign video features real athletes dressed in vivid prints, floating above a sand platform tethered to a hot air balloon. They play “altinha,” a Brazilian beach game centered on keeping the ball aloft together, embodying the spirit of the collaboration.

The campaign was created with the help of expert skydivers who specialize in ballooning.

The Adidas x Farm Rio collection will launch online at farmrio.com and at select Farm Rio stores in SoHo, N.Y.; Aventura, Fla.; Melrose, Calif.; Venice, Calif.; and an upcoming store slated to open in Brooklyn. The collection will be available to purchase in 70 countries.
