Apple revealed four new iPhones at a Wednesday press conference, along with three new Apple Watches and an updated AirPods Pro.
Here is a closer look at the product:
Apple lovers can now purchase larger iPhones without having to pay the Pro price. The iPhone 14 (6.1 inches) and iPhone 14 Plus (6.7 inches) have longer battery life, the same chip that was used in last year’s iPhone 13 Pro (the A15), and a new camera system. This includes a 12MP main camera with larger pixels, faster apertures, and better sensors. Other features include front-camera autofocus capabilities, a new action mode that allows users to keep videos stable while moving, and the elimination of the physical SIM card in favor of a digital “e-SIM”.
The iPhone 14 costs $799, while the larger iPhone 14 Plus starts at $899. Colors available: midnight, starlight blue, purple, and Product Red
iPhone 14 Pro: Apple’s premium iPhone series redesigned its polarizing notch to make way for a pill-shaped design. The true-depth camera is inside. It also includes a new feature called “dynamic island” that allows you to display interactive widgets on the lock screen. You can also access music controls, timers, and other features. There will be four color options for the models: deep purple, space black, silver, and gold.
AirPods Pro 2 Wireless Earbuds: These new wireless earbuds feature a longer-lasting battery and a button at its bottom that alerts you about their location. The price is $249 and will be available in stores starting Friday.
Three new Apple Watches are now available:
Apple Watch Ultra (799): This high-end smartwatch was made for outdoor enthusiasts. Think deep sea divers and triathletes. The display is brighter, more resistant to water, and comes equipped with an advanced compass. It can be used for 60 hours.
The Series 8 starts at $399 for the GPS model and $499 for cellular. It focuses on women’s health with a revamped period-tracking tool that can predict ovulation. It can detect if a user was in a car accident.
The Apple Watch SE starts at $249 for GPS models and $299 for mobile. It also includes crash detection technology and is faster than its predecessor.
Satellite connectivity: Satellite SOS via Satellite can be life-saving for those who need to communicate with people far from the grid. The iPhone 14 can be pointed at a satellite in space, which it will locate. Users will be able to send and receive information to seek emergency assistance even if cell phone service is not available.
