Emporio Armani Seduced With Plush and Lustrous Fabrics for Fall 2025

Giorgio Armani titled his fall Emporio Armani collection “Seductive,” and the designer enticed with generous proportions; plush fabrics galore, including crushed velvet for pants; shots of metallic in knitwear, and generous helpings of animal prints, on shoes, hats and little furry jackets.

It added up to a strong and compelling show, perhaps a little flashier than is customary at Armani, but proof that Milan’s fashion maestro still has guts, and new things to say at age 90.

The designer bookended his show with sonic segments of howling winter winds, first sending out bright color-blocked EA7 gear for polar mountain expeditions, hinged on beefy puffer jackets and parkas, each model ferrying a supersized backpack.

Then the city slickers strolled out, with slicked back hair and piercing gazes, each in a handsome, studied ensemble sparked with something unexpected, like a chunky faux fur collar, a watch chain akin to a multi-strand necklace, a hefty sweater glinting with Lurex, or a meaty coat with a glossy finish.

The baggy pants looked terrific spilling over heavy-soled loafers, and the coats – some classically tailored, others languid and loose as bathrobes – had swagger to spare. Dark, sophisticated fall colors prevailed, like tobacco, chocolate and cognac, blended with grays.

Bomber jackets etched with tapestry prints and black velvet dinner jackets crawling with crystal embroideries brought the show to a climax.

If they ever reboot “American Gigolo,” the 1980 movie that made Richard Gere a heartthrob and Giorgio Armani a Hollywood hero, the Italian designer is at the ready with these seductive threads.
