Demi Moore Blooms in Textured Floral Chanel Dress at ‘The Substance’ Premiere in Paris

Demi Moore added three-dimensional texture to florals at the Paris premiere of “The Substance” on Tuesday.

The actress selected a Chanel look from the label’s fall 2023 couture collection, featuring a midi dress with pink and blue rosettes and a bow at the waist. Moore added a navy coat with tweed accents, pairing it with a coral leather clutch, drop earrings and jeweled rings showcasing the brand’s signature camellia flower. Her ensemble was completed with black-and-white cap-toe pumps.

Moore currently works with stylist Brad Goreski, who also counts Rashida Jones and “Emily in Paris” star Ashley Park as clients.

Moore wore her dark tresses straightened, while her makeup consisted of metallic eyeliner, coral blush and a mauve lip.

Directed by Coralie Fargeat, “The Substance” stars Moore as Elisabeth Sparkle, the host of an aerobics show who consumes an elixir that produces a younger version of herself.

Tactile fabrics are poised for popularity per WWD’s Martino Carrera, who spoke with textile-makers in June ahead of the fall 2024 runway season.

At the film’s Los Angeles premiere in September, Moore put a tactile spin on the red trend in a strapless Oscar de la Renta dress from the label’s pre-spring 2024 line. The mosaic frock featured metallic paillettes resembling stained glass. Moore accessorized with diamond jewelry, including drop earrings, rings and bracelets.

Speaking on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Moore described her latest film as a combination of “The Picture of Dorian Grey,” “Death Becomes Her” and a Jane Fonda workout video. The film premiered at Cannes Film Festival in May, receiving a 15-minute standing ovation.

“I’ve never had a film at Cannes, so I had no idea what to expect,” she explained. “It was humbling, especially to be in a theater with 2,000 people who love cinema.”

Rouge hues have taken off this year after scarlet shades took the runways of Valentino, Carolina Herrera and Emilia Wickstead by storm during the fall 2023 season. Stars including Selena Gomez, Florence Pugh and Kylie Jenner have brought the trend into 2024, incorporating red at events such as the Golden Globes and Paris Couture Week.
