Armani Group to Create First Residences in Brazil

MORE CASA: The Armani Group has partnered with real estate developer Patrimar on the design of residential units, common areas and amenities of a luxury real estate complex in Rio de Janeiro.

This is Giorgio Armani’s first real estate venture in Brazil.

“I’m very pleased with this new collaboration, which allows me to explore my idea of living in such a unique urban setting as Rio de Janeiro, with its combination of ocean, greenery and mountains, where natural beauty and urban life meet harmoniously,” said Armani. “Patrimar has proved to be the ideal partner in giving life to a new expression of my lifestyle philosophy, and of design as an extension of it: a vision in which the Armani style always adapts to the spirit of the environment.”

The Armani/Casa interior design studio has already realized residential projects in cities including Miami, London, Dubai, Beijing, Tel Aviv, Manila, Mumbai and Istanbul.

“This partnership represents a milestone for our company and for the luxury real estate market in the country,” said Alex Veiga, CEO of the Patrimar Group. “Together we will create a venture which will be a reference in design and quality of life. It will be an unprecedented launch in Brazil.”

Armani is headed Stateside to celebrate the opening of his company’s new building on Madison Avenue, entirely redesigned to include residential units, an Armani/Ristorante and the new Giorgio Armani and Armani/Casa boutiques.

Scheduled for Oct. 17, the opening event will also comprise a fashion show at the Armory, to be followed by a party.

Armani has built a successful interior design business over more than two decades.

His first hotel opened in Dubai in 2010 in the Burj Khalifa, followed by one in Milan a year later, both in a venture with Dubai-based developer Emaar Properties PJSC that was established in 2005.

An Armani Hotel will rise in Diriyah, a 300-year-old site located a 15-minute drive from Riyadh, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is expected to be completed in 2026.
