Two of the newest members of the Buffalo Bills have been suspended before ever even suiting up for the team.
During his free agency press conference, general manager Brandon Beane announced that defensive linemen Larry Ogunjobi and Michael Hoecht have been suspended for the first six games of the upcoming 2025 NFL season. The pair have violated the policy against performance-enhancing drugs.
When Ogunjobi and Hoecht had their introductory press conferences, both took responsibility for their actions. Both also said they were unsure what supplements they took which caused the NFL to flag them for PED usage.
“It’s not ideal to have two guys with that, but both guys have never had any issues off the field,” Beane said. “It’s a tough lesson of where do you get your supplements or whatever happened.”
Both Ogunjobi and Hoecht can take part in training camp and the preseason but once the regular season begins they’ll both have to leave the team for four weeks before returning to workouts.
Beane noted that the team was aware of Hoecht’s suspensions but were surprised by Ogunjobi’s.
Ogunjobi inked a one-year deal with Buffalo during free agency. Hoecht signed a three-year contract.
