Lucy Liu made a dazzling entrance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday. The actress stopped by to promote her new film, “Presence,” in theaters Friday.
Liu sported a sequined little black dress with a plunging neckline, accessorizing with platform Roger Vivier sandals and a crystallized Aupen handbag. Diamond jewelry, including dangle earrings and a cocktail ring, completed her look.
Stylist Sarah Slutsky Tooley, who also counts Rachel Zegler and singer McKenna Grace as clients, dressed Liu for the occasion. The “Kill Bill” star wore her dark tresses straightened, while her makeup consisted of winged eyeliner and a pink lip.
Jimmy Fallon asked the actress if she would ever consider reuniting with her “Charlie’s Angels” costars Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz in a reboot. The film adaptation of the hit 1970s television series debuted 25 years ago.
“I mean, why not? It’d be so much fun,” Liu said. “Just get us all back together and do some action, flip the hair.”
She also discussed her role in Steven Soderbergh’s “Presence.” The film, which Liu describes as a thriller, is Soderbergh’s modern take on a ghost story.
“The audience becomes that presence, that spirit,” Liu explained. “The whole setup is that it’s a family who moves into a house and they realize they’re not alone. I play Rebecca, who is the mom, and it’s a little bit of a dysfunctional family.”
At the film’s New York premiere last week, Liu sported a sheer black gown from Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad’s fall 2024 collection.
