Charlize Theron melded bold patterns with the denim-on-denim trend on Monday night in Los Angeles. The actress attended a special screening of her latest project, “Into the Fire: The Lost Daughter.” Theron serves as a producer on the two-part Netflix documentary, out Thursday.

The “Mad Max” star selected a coordinating Alexander McQueen ensemble, which consisted of a button-up denim shirt and skinny jeans, both featuring a damask print. Theron completed her look with peep-toe heels, hoop earrings and a bold red lip, wearing her blond tresses in a sleek updo.

At the event, Theron posed with supermodel Cara Delevingne, as well as producer Jessica Hargrave, who collaborated with Theron on the new docuseries.

In July, the actress channeled another popular trend: peekaboo bralettes, at the annual block party for her charity, Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project. Dressed by Dior, Theron wore a black open-front blazer layered over a bralette. She also added on a beaded midi skirt and a pair of the label’s J’Adior slingbacks.

Theron currently works with stylist Leslie Fremar, who also counts Jennifer Connelly, Simone Biles and Nicola Peltz-Beckham as clients.

In May, Theron was named Dior’s jewelry and skin care ambassador. She was previously the face of the brand’s J’adore fragrance.

“It’s exciting to start this chapter in a longstanding partnership with Dior. Over the past 20 years, it’s been an honor to collaborate creatively with the house as the face of J’adore,” Theron said in a statement.

Denim-on-denim has emerged as a street style trend at New York Fashion Week.

“Doubling down on denim continues to trend with eclectic layered separates or matchy-matchy Canadian tuxedos,” WWD’s Ari Stark and Alex Badia reported on Tuesday. “The latter has been a big hit on the runway over the past few days, popping up at Ralph Lauren, Libertine and Coach.”
