Judd Trump is four frames away from winning the Shanghai Masters after opening up a 7-3 lead over Shaun Murphy in the final.

World number two and former world champion Trump continued the brilliant form that helped him beat Ronnie O’Sullivan 10-3 in the semi-finals with another slick opening session.

Trump won five frames in a row to lead 7-1 with breaks of 59, 55, 100 and 122, before fellow Englishman Murphy took the final two frames.

Play resumes at 12.30 BST.
